Non-Destructive Testing & Inspection Training

26 weeks over a period of time to suit the candidate

Theory and practical training course and examination

Why attend this course?

This course provides candidates with a comprehensive route into Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection industries by covering major methods used by the majority of industries.

The course prepares candidates for the PCN Level 1 and Level 2 examinations in a number of methods, ASNT Level I and II assessments and  ICorr approvals in Paint and Pipeline Coating Inspection.

Candidates will have the opportunity to attend most courses during the 26 week training period, although candidates may meet restrictions when wishing to attempt certain examinations due to experience pre-requisites. If a candidate is able to gain 6-12 months of relevant NDT experience, training can be biased towards PCN qualifications.

Course content

  • Comprehensive coverage of all the theory and practical knowledge required for the PCN Ultrasonic Level 1 and Level 2 examinations
  • Product technology
  • Magnetic particle inspection
  • Penetrant testing
  • Radiographic theory and interpretation
  • Radiation safety
  • Welding inspection optional
  • Painting inspection
  • Pipeline coating inspection

NDT courses are validated by BINDT and recognised by PCN

Painting Inspector and Pipeline Coating Inspector courses are approved by the Institute of Corrosion (ICorr)
