Enhanced Learning Credits

The Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service (ELCAS) provides the administrative support for the Ministry of Defence (MOD)’s Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC). The Scheme promotes lifelong learning amongst members of the Armed Forces.

You can use your Enhanced Learning Credits towards accredited PCN courses to help progress your career within the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) industry. PCN (Personal Certification in Non-Destructive Testing) is an internationally recognised scheme for the certification of NDT Technicians and meets BS EN ISO 9712 requirements.

How we can help

As an Approved Learning Provider for the Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC), we support funding on many of our NDT courses, and value serving personnel as well as anyone leaving the Armed Forces to choose a career in NDT.

Furthermore, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), our parent organisation, is the first Professional Engineering Institution to sign the Armed Forces Covenant, demonstrating our intention to enhance the way we create opportunities and value for our armed forces members and their wider network.

Contact our team

If you are leaving the Armed Forces and looking for a career in NDT, or need advice on how to use your ELCAS funding on NDT training courses, our team would be more than happy to help, please get in touch.
