What is Non-Destructive Testing?

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is a wide range of analysis technique that are used in a wide range of industries to evaluate the properties and composition of materials and components without causing any damage or compromising the integrity of the test piece.

The most common NDT methods for inspection are Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Radiographic and Visual Testing. Each method has its own benefits and limitations and are used appropriately depending on what material is being inspected.

NDT is widely used in various industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, automotive, civil engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, rail and medicine.

NDT Examinations:

A full range of examinations are available to internationally recognised central and employer based schemes including PCN, SNT-TC-1A, EN4179 and NAS410.
