Ricky Brown

Ricky joined the team as an NDT Trainer in 2022.

Ricky is a multi-skilled NDT technician who has over 14 years’ experience working in a range roles within the oil & gas, nuclear and MOD sectors, and his work has taken him around the world from California to Kazakhstan.

Ricky will be supporting with Magnetic Testing, Penetrant Testing and Ultrasonic Testing training courses at our training facility in Dunfermline.

How did you first hear about NDT?

“My Dad is a welder, so I learned a lot about NDT from him and got into the NDT industry with his help.”

What do you enjoy most about working in NDT?

“It feels good to know that you play a role in helping to keep people safe. I also like that you face many different challenges when working within NDT, which really helps to build your confidence.”

What are your hobbies outside of work?

“I enjoy woodwork and creating things such as benches, which comes in handy for one of my other hobbies which is renovating houses.”
