Trainer, Examiner and Level 3 Consultant
Philip is a Level 3 Consultant, Trainer and Examiner and has over 34 years’ experience in NDT, holding a BSc (Hons) and Level 3 certification for PCN, Rolls Royce, Augusta Westland, Airbus and BAE Systems, as well as ASNT and EN 4179 Level III certification.
Philip has worked at IMechE Argyll Ruane for over 20 years as a Level 3 Consultant and his role involves supporting clients principally in the aerospace sector, ensuring their NDT departments comply with industry standards.
Day-to-day work includes technical support, auditing, procedure writing, providing training & examinations, performance reviews and acting as Responsible Level 3.
Specialisms:
Philip’s specialisms include NDT in aerospace, forgings, Thermography, Weld and Visual Testing and Immersion Ultrasonic Testing.
He also has experience in, and holds Level 3 qualifications for, the Materials Evaluation disciplines including; Hardness Testing, Conductivity Testing, Acid Etch Inspection and Anodic Inspection.
Philip is an expert in the following NDT methods; Magnetic Particle Testing, Penetrant Testing, Visual Testing and Ultrasonic Testing.
